Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 8, 2026

SteelGrid: Collection is a free mobile puzzle game developed by Exblox Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app. We are committed to protecting your privacy — we do not collect any data that could personally identify you.

1 Data We Collect

We collect anonymous, non-personal usage data to improve the game experience. We do not collect names, email addresses, precise location, or any other data that could directly identify you. Our app also uses third-party services that may collect data independently, as described in the sections below.

Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this locally stored data.

2 Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner ads, interstitial ads, and rewarded video ads. Before any ads are shown, you will be asked for your consent through the Google UMP (User Messaging Platform) consent flow. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your consent choice.

You can review or change your consent at any time in the app settings under "Manage Privacy".

For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

3 Analytics (Exblox Telemetry)

We collect anonymous gameplay and usage data using our own secure analytics backend (Exblox Telemetry) to help us understand how the game is played and to improve the experience. The following information may be collected:

To identify unique devices, a randomly generated anonymous identifier is created and stored locally on your device. This identifier is hashed before being stored on our servers and cannot be used to personally identify you. All collected data is anonymized and transmitted securely via HTTPS. Data is stored on our own servers and is not shared with third parties.

4 Google Play Games Services

SteelGrid: Collection integrates Google Play Games Services (GPGS), which is an optional feature. You are not required to sign in to play the game.

If you choose to sign in with your Google account, the following features become available:

Sign-in is voluntary and can be initiated from the app settings. If you do not sign in, cloud save and achievement syncing are disabled and no data is sent to Google Play Games Services beyond what Google Play Services itself may collect in the background.

For more information on how Google handles this data, see Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play Developer Policy.

5 Local Notifications

SteelGrid: Collection may send local push notifications on Android to remind you about the Daily Challenge. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device — no notification servers or external services are involved, and no personal data is transmitted.

On Android 13 and above, you will be asked for permission before any notifications are sent. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in the app settings or through your device's system notification settings.

6 Consent (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be presented with a consent screen before personalized ads are shown, as required by GDPR. You can choose to accept personalized ads, accept only non-personalized ads, or decline.

You can review or withdraw your consent at any time by visiting the app settings and selecting "Manage Privacy".

7 Data Retention

Game progress and settings stored locally on your device remain there until you uninstall the app or delete game data through the app settings.

If you use Google Play Games cloud save, your backup data is stored by Google and subject to their retention policies. You can delete your cloud save data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete All Data).

Anonymous analytics data collected via Exblox Telemetry (section 3) is stored on our secure servers for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Because all analytics data is fully anonymized and hashed, it cannot be linked back to any individual device or person.

8 Children's Privacy

SteelGrid: Collection is not specifically directed at children. While the game content is suitable for all ages (PEGI 3), the app is not designed, marketed, or intended for use by children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (as defined by COPPA) or under 16 (as defined by GDPR) without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Advertising is served based on the user's consent status. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their children's use of the app and to contact us if they have any concerns.

9 App Permissions

SteelGrid: Collection requests only the minimum permissions required:

We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or file storage.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
